The New York Giants have had an up-and-down season during this 2023 NFL season.
Unfortunately, the Giants have faced another defeat vs. the Miami Dolphins, with a score of 31-16.
They have come across another setback as their quarterback, Daniel Jones, has suffered a neck injury. He exited the game against the Miami Dolphins in the fourth quarter.

According to the NFL, Jones was hurt after Andrew Van Ginkel sacked him from behind. He was evaluated in the medical tent, eventually leaving the pitch with trainers. Within minutes, he was declared ineligible, and Tyrod Taylor took his place.
Jones regarding his injury said, “I feel fine, in some pain — it’s a physical game,”
“(I’ll) meet with the doctors and trainers and go from there.”
Jones then went to the locker room and was later declared unfit to play. In the game that day he was sacked six times. He completed 14 of 20 throws for 119 yards, and he also ran for another 24 yards.
Coach Brian Daboll stated following the game that it was still too early to provide any additional information on his quarterback. Daboll had some consolation from his quarterback following the game that it wasn’t a major injury.
According to ESPN, Daboll said, “I saw him when I came in. He was sitting at his locker,” Daboll said. “I asked how he was doing. He said, ‘I’ll be OK.'”
The quarterback’s health has now taken significance as he has been sacked so many times in matches. Regarding this matter, Daboll further stated, “You don’t want that,”
“Affecting the quarterback plays an important role in the game. We have to figure out ways to protect him better.”
Jones also said, “It’s part of playing the position,”
“You’re going to get hit playing in the NFL. There are good pass-rushers on the other side. So I have to look at what I can do to get the ball out of my hands, get the ball in space.”
Jones had an X-ray at the stadium after and he stated that they were still going over the findings. On Monday, he will get an MRI to determine his condition.
