Detroit Lions cornerback Emmanuel Moseley has suffered a significant injury that has unfortunately concluded his 2023 NFL season.
According to Adam Schefter, last year he tore his left ACL. However, sadly, he tore his right ACL in the game against the Carolina Panthers.
In his first game back from the torn left ACL he suffered in Week 5 last year, Lions’ CB Emmanuel Moseley tore his right ACL in Week 5 this year vs. the Panthers, per source. Awful.

He was hurt during the opening quarter of the Lions’ 42-24 victory over the Panthers. He hadn’t played in any of the season’s first four games.
The Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell expressed after the game, “I know on tape or the replay it certainly didn’t look good, but we won’t know a ton until we get the MRI, which will probably be (Monday) afternoon,”
Earlier this season, Moseley, agreed to a $6 million, one-year deal with the Lions. After signing several elite free agents, the Lions lost starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a torn pectoral muscle and might make a comeback in the postseason.
According to the Detroit Free Press, cornerback Jerry Jacobs expressed his shock regarding Moseley’s injury and said, “That’s my brother,”
“To see something like that again, I was just speechless, bro. But I couldn’t even really talk about that cause like I know he’s hurt but he want to play ball. … He’s hungry and to see him go down like that after two plays, man, that’s just sad.”
