The Buffalo Bills are excited to welcome their All-Pro veteran linebacker Von Miller back into the mix after he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving Day last season and Miller seems equally as excited to finally have made his highly-anticipated return to the field. While it was great to see Miller back with his teammates, he acknowledged that he may still not be 100 percent yet.

"This is just a starting point," Miller stated after the game when asked about his return to action. Miller was on a snap count according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott, who didn’t want to put too much on Miller’s plate in his first NFL game in almost a full calendar year. With that said, Miller was able to finish the game without any setbacks, suggesting that his workload will continue to ramp up over time.

"Just dipping my toe in the water," Miller said. "Eventually, I’ll be able to swim in the deep end with the big kids," he added. Miller has shown an ability to "swim in the deep end with the big kids" repeatedly throughout his career as a two-time Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP Award winner in 2015.

In Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Miller played just 23 percent of the snaps, recording one assisted tackle. Despite the limited impact in his first game back, McDermott and the Bills were happy to welcome Miller back with open arms. "It’s been a long road back for Von [Miller] and he’s worked his tail off to get back here and good to have him back out there with us," McDermott stated.
