Luke List came out on top of a five-man playoff to win the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi.
Not only was he able to stave off the other four golfers, he did so by sinking a 43-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole, which is the second-longest putt to win a PGA Tour playoff this season according to ESPN Stats & Info.
What a finish last night! The first 5-man playoff on the PGA TOUR since 2017 and an amazing way to cap off this week.

List’s incredible shot and playoff performance in the clutch helped him narrowly edge out Ludvig Aberg, Henrik Norlander, Scott Stallings, and Ben Griffin in the five-man playoff race to earn his second PGA Tour title.
List finished the final round by shooting two strokes under par (70) and was able to pull off the victory in epic fashion. It was an impressive performance from the 38-year-old American.
“I can’t say enough about what a great job all of the Sanderson Farms Championship team has done this week, the golf course is unbelievable, the hospitality is amazing, and the people are so friendly,” said List after emerging from the tournament victorious.
It was only fitting to wrap up what was an exhilarating tournament with an extremely tight leaderboard with such a remarkable five-man playoff race.
While it may not have been the desired outcome for Aberg, Norlander, Stallings, and Griffin in the playoff, they all performed for the ages and gave the fans an exciting tournament to watch.
