The Eagles Brotherly Love move paid off dividends once again in their huge, tense battle with the LA Rams, coming away 23-14 winners.
The now famous ‘tush and push’ move was perfectly executed for a touchdown near half-time helping the team stay undefeated after week 5.
The move essentially takes its elements from rugby, where players get behind the runner and literally pushes him over the n-zone for a score.
This close quarter move looks simply but is not as easily replicated.
A Jalen Hurts 1 yard TD with a couple of seconds remaining helped the Eagles go into half time 17-14 up.
Head coach Nick Sirianni was delighted with the move.
“That was exciting. That was fun right there. I imagine that was a great time to be a fan.
“They had the big completion for a touchdown, then we come back and score a touchdown with no time left.
“I just have confidence in the play that nobody likes that we run,” he said after the game.
The Eagles could have played it safe and gone for a field goal, to trail 14-13 but Brotherly Love was just too tempting and worked a treat.
Next up for the Eagles will be a testing trip to the improving Jets, and they will look to go 6-0 while the New York team will want to improve to 3-3.
Can anyone stop the move, can anyone copy the move, how long will it be legal?
