QB Gardner Minshew II had been a revelation for the Colts this season, starring in three of their wins this season.
Starting the season as a backup to rookie QB Anthony Richardson, Minshew has delivered when called on to duties.
He came on for a concussed Richardson in week 2 and helped the Indianapolis team to a victory over the Texans.
In week 3 he superbly led the team to a surprise win against the Ravens, then again produced the goods off the bench, carving an impressive 23-16 win against the Titans.
Richardson limped out of the week 5 encounter with a shoulder injury but with Minshew on a run, he could start on the weekend.
Minshew II has been a bolter and a bargain, signing a one-year deal at $3.5 million for the Colts.
He will look to a solid season and enter the 2024 market with more than a passing interest.
He will probably get a starting chance against former team, the Jaguars in a crucial divisional match in week 6.
He has been involved in all three of the Colts wins this season as they seek a chance to go 4-2.
Both teams are 3-2 going into the game.
He was signed as the 178th overall pick by the Jacksonville team in 2019 before a spell with the eagles.
The Colts seem to be getting the best of the former Washington State player and will look to his arm for another win.
