Record Alert! Blackhawks Connor Bedard becomes the second youngest player in franchise history to score a point in his NHL debut

The upcoming talent of the NHL, Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks, has made a point in the match against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Blackhawks went on to win the match, as the score was 2-4. 

According to ESPN Stats and Info, “Connor Bedard (18 years – 85 days) is the second-youngest player in Blackhawks franchise history to notch a point in his NHL debut, behind Eddie Olczyk (18 years, 56 days on Oct. 11, 1984 vs DET).”

The sensational player, Bedard, with his first match, went on to create history as he scored in his game, which was his NHL debut. The pivotal moment for Connor Bedard happened towards the end of the second quarter.

The Blackhawks’ four scorers were Nick Foligno, Jason Dickinson, Cole Guttman, and Ryan Donato. The 2023–24 NHL season begins with consecutive matches for the Blackhawks. On Wednesday, they’ll play the Boston Bruins.
