The Tampa Bay Lightning have secured their win over the Nashville Predators with a score of 5-3. It was Nick Paul who scored the winning point for the Lightning.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, “Nick Paul & Nikita Kucherov are the 3rd pair of Lightning teammates to each have a multi-goal game in a season-opener. Eric Brewer & Martin St. Louis did so in 2013, while Dino Ciccarelli & Mikael Renberg did so in 1997.”

Nick Paul played a prominent role in the game and secured the victory for his team incredibly well. Nikita Kucherov also scored a point earlier in the game. With commendable skills, he moved forward in the game.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Paul also shared his thoughts and said, “When you’re with good players, you just try and get them the puck,”

“And then my job is just stay in there, take the goalie away and then the trash in front, put it in. Just got to keep it going and build confidence.”

Brayden Point also had his 500th game in the NHL, which was turned into a win by the great performances given by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Brandon Hagel, who made it 3-2 in favour of the Lightning also said, “Wow, when I pulled up there, I was actually doing an interview before and kind of caught myself staring at that blue carpet,”

“I think I was a little bit more nervous than other people out there.”

The Lightning’s head coach Jon Cooper also shared and expressed his thoughts, “There is a skill-set you have to have but the skill-set is also part mental,”

“The fact that Paulie has been with us for a while and he’s watched the dynamics of how everything goes through, I think it’s really helped him … Those guys know what they’re doing together and so Paulie’s stepped in there and done a heck of a job.”
