I’d do it again” – George Kittle says ‘F**k Dallas’ shirt was ‘100% worth the trouble’

As if tight end George Kittle scoring three touchdowns en route to the San Francisco 49ers’ shellacking of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 5 wasn’t enough, Kittle wore a shirt that says “F**k Dallas” under his uniform and flaunted it in the end zone after scoring one of said three touchdowns. Despite being fined $10,927 for exposing the shirt on national television, Kittle has no regrets.

Kittle was asked about the decision and had this to say: “It was a decision I made. If they want to fine me, they fine me.” While $10,927 is a steep price to wear just to be able to wear a T-shirt of your choice, Kittle is amongst the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL. He is currently in the midst of a five-year, $75 million contract with an average salary of $15 million per year, so it is safe to assume he can bite the bullet here.

Not only did Kittle confirm he decided to wear the shirt under his own power and accept the consequences, but he’s made it clear that he also feels no remorse despite the hefty fine. “One hundred percent… I’d do it again,” Kittle stated.

The rivalry between the 49ers and Cowboys predates Kittle’s time in the NFL. These two historic franchises had a budding rivalry in the 1990s when they met in three straight NFC Championship games spanning from 1992-1994 that saw the Cowboys emerge victorious in two of the three meetings.

While they won’t face each other again during the regular season, it is certainly possible these two teams meet down the road in the playoffs.
