The game between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and USC Trojans is always hyped due to the intense rivalries between the institutions. The Fighting Irish defeated the Trojans with the final score 48-20.
Further, the spotlight was on the Notre Dame NBC broadcast team.
Regretfully, the reviews weren’t very positive. Notre Dame has been coming strong as they defeated the Navy Midshipmen with 42-3 and Tennessee State with 56-3.
The Ohio State Buckeyes were the team that defeated Notre Dame 14-17 and was a highly anticipated game. For the first time this season, the Notre Dame broadcast team from NBC, which is led by analysts Jason Garrett and Jac Collinsworth, was truly in the spotlight.

With USC down 18 and just over five minutes left, that was a weird time for Jason Garrett's "Believe it or not, I think you gotta consider this four-down territory." pic.twitter.com/klDZ7bCsda

It’s possible that some supporters turned the game off a little earlier than planned because it was a landslide. However, during the evening, Collinsworth and Garrett received criticism.
A little while later, the graphics team added the icing. The last points of the game were scored by Notre Dame, thanks to a scoop and score from Xavier Watts. Still, the graphics team identified the score as USC. A mistake happened further with the broadcast team.

Along with an additional six points added to USC’s score on the score bug, a graphic indicated that USC had scored. It was a “Scoop N’ Score” for the Trojans, who also appeared as the camera wandered over to the Notre Dame bench in celebration.
