According to ESPN Stats and Info, “Devontez Walker is the 2nd player in North Carolina history to record 3 receiving TD in a game against an AP Top 25 opponent, joining Hakeem Nicks in 2008 vs 23 Boston College.”
North Carolina defeated the Miami Hurricanes 41-31. The upcoming talented wide receiver, who was earlier in Kent State, concluded the fantastic game with 6 catches for 132 yards.
As North Carolina was Walker’s third college, he was barred for the first four games of the season, according to the NCAA’s first rule.
Before the Week 6 game, the wide receiver was declared eligible.
However, it was evident from the latest game that Walker gives North Carolina’s offense a new level of complexity that elevates the team to high contention.
