“I’m never going to apologize for a win.” Bengals QB Burrow does not care how iffy a win smells

The Bengals are turning their season around with a third successive win and while it was not pretty it was enough for star quarterback Joe Burrow.

The Bengals had their defense to thank for the edgy 17-13 win over the Seahawks, and while Burrow and company were misfiring, the only factor that matters is the scoreboard.

“Yes, there were definitely opportunities that we had that we didn’t capitalize on, but we got the win,” Burrow said after the game.

“It’s a lot easier to fix things when you’re 3-3 than if you had lost this one. So, I’m never going to apologize for a win.”

The Cincinnati team started the season 0-2 but they are starting to win and will keep improving each week. And when the weather gets colder, the Bengals get better, especially trips to Cincinnati. They rank in the 10 of the NFL in better-performing teams in frosty conditions.

Burrow is spot on; it is easier to work from a position of 3-3 than 2-4 and this win could be the catalyst the Bengals need to get their season rollicking forward.

The AFC North is the most competitive division at the moment with three teams picking up three wins and the Ravens leading the pack with a 4-2 record. This race will go down to the wire.

The Seahawks are no small fry and have picked up three wins out of five and sit second in the NFC West.

Burrow and his Bengals have a bye this weekend and will be ecstatic their managed to get another win on the board.

They will face the San Francisco 49ers in week 8 and will need every rested sinew, and rejuvenated soul to claw their way to another win.
