“It’s tough, but we’ve got to keep building, keep growing,” Panthers Young QB feeling the heat as Caroloina goes 0-6

The Panthers have started the season in a nightmare, stuck on Elm Street on Halloween night.

They are the only winless team after week 6, losing 42-21 to the playoff hunting Dolphins.

Bryce Young became only the eighth first round draft pick quarterback to lose their first five starting games (he started in only five this season).

To be fair to Young the list does include legends like Troy Aikman and Eli Manning, not bad company to be in for the former Alabama star.

“It’s tough,” Young told the franchise website. “I love this team, believe in this team; I’m blessed and happy to be a part of this team. And obviously, it’s not where we want to be, hasn’t been what we wanted.

“It’s tough, but we’ve got to keep building, keep growing, trying to find things to continue to improve on, things that we’ve had.

Young is under no illusion that life is the NFL will be handed to him on a platter, he will have to scrap and scrape for every yard.

The overall first round pick in 2023, Young is a Heisman Trophy Winner, a Maxwell Award winner and a Manning Award victor.

The boy got game; he just needs the rest of the Panthers to play ball.

“We’ve got to expand on it. We’ve got to keep building on the positives, and then, obviously, a lot to clean up,” he added.

The Carolina team have a bye before hosting the Texans in week 8, and they will look to break winless streak against the 3-3 team.
