The University of Notre Dame are in a rich vein of form smashing the USC Trojans 48-20 but on social media plenty of the after-game talk centred on the commentators.
The Fighting Irish were in fine form as they dismantled the unbeaten Trojans team led by Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.
The QB is touted to be the number one draft pick in 2024, but even he could not stem the green and white tide.
The talking point though was the Notre Dame NBC commentary team led by announcers Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett.
The Irish have been covered on NBC for the fifth time this year and the cringe worthiness of the broadcast duo sparked controversy.
Comments on X included, “My ears are bleeding listening to Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett on the Notre Dame-USC call.”
Another said, “Going from Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit in the Oregon Washington game to Jac Collinsworth and Jason Garrett in this USC ND tilt is like going from a Rolls Royce to a Honda Civic.”
The pair were panned on social media, while the graphics team also added their own error late in the game showing a Notre Dame score as a Trojans score on screen.
Bad day at the office for SCU and for NBC.
