“It’s good to always get back on track,” Cowboys LB Micah Parsons Feels Rejuvenated After MNF Victory

On a night when it felt the Dallas Cowboys were not all on the same page, they were able to prevail. The Cowboys narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 20-17 on Monday Night Football, escaping SoFi Stadium with a big road victory and impressive bounce-back performance after being trounced by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.

The Cowboys entered this game having lost two of their last three games and were desperately in need of a get-right game before they headed into their Week 7 bye and did just enough to ensure pulling out a road win. Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons and the defense did an excellent job of stepping up and making plays when it mattered most with the game on the line.

With two minutes remaining and the Chargers having the ball near midfield and only needing a field goal to tie the game, Parsons was able to create pressure and sack quarterback Justin Herbert for a loss of eight yards to force a third-and-long situation for the Chargers.

On the very next play, Parsons and the Cowboys defensive line were able to get to Herbert again and he felt the pressure, forcing him to make an errant throw that resulted in Stephon Gilmore making the game-sealing interception.

After the game, Parsons told ESPN’s Todd Archer: “The win was good. It’s good to always get back on track.”

The Cowboys advance to 4-2 on the season heading into their Week 7 bye before facing the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8.
