The Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel does not care how his team are racking up the points faster than a rigged pin ball machine.
When asked who must be credited for their league leading 223 points haul heading into week 7, he explicitly answered:
“My answer to that would be who the F cares? Because it is a team, we’re working together, and I know one thing: I’ve coached a long time, I haven’t seen people do what our guys do,” he said.
Whether it is star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa or wide receiver Tyreek Hill he is not fazed.
“As a teammate we’re all dependent on each other and I’m not in any hurry to prove myself without those guys because they’re part of who we are. To try to say it’s this person or that person is missing the point. It’s a team working together, people working together. Myself, Tyreek Hill, Tua, cool. What if no one’s blocking? You know what I mean? We’re all connected in that way,” said the QB.
Hill is chasing the NFL receiving record in a season and is on track to be the first player to receive for 2,00p yards. He is on track to post 2,300+ this season.
The Dolphins lead the AFC East with a 5-1 record ahead of the Bills, Jets and the woeful Patriots.
The Miami defense put 42 against the Panthers in a resounding week 6 win and will look to continue their great start when the clash with the Eagles in week 7.
The Philadelphia team will be no pushover, but McDaniel is confident his team can outperform any side this campaign.
“Our players run a lot of plays that I have a lot of history with, and it looks different,” McDaniel said. “That’s because of hard work and unbelievable ability. So don’t try me on other players,” McDaniel said.
Look out Miami, this could be the year of records, championships and even a Superbowl ring.
