After starting the season 2-1, the Green Bay Packers have now fallen below .500 after dropping their last two games. The Packers had a Week 6 bye to figure out how to stop the bleeding and put an end to the losing streak and quarterback Jordan Love is eager to get back on the field.
Per Jason Wilde of Madison.com, Love had this to say in regards to the Packers’ Week 5 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders: “It’s not a great feeling, definitely left a very sick taste in my mouth that whole week.”
The Packers had several opportunities to come away with a victory in Week 5 against the Raiders despite only scoring 13 points. They took a 13-10 lead into the fourth quarter en route to their 17-13 road loss.
It wasn’t a great performance from Love, who had arguably the worst game of his young career. Love completed 16 of his 30 pass attempts for 182 scoreless yards and a career-high three interceptions.
Love knows he could’ve done more to help his team win in Week 5 and has been the first to admit it since the Packers let that game slip. But, instead of dwelling on it, he is using it as fuel for Week 7.
“I’ve had three-interception games before. You’ve got to find a way to bounce back… Having that sick taste in my mouth, it’s going to keep pushing me forward…”
Love and the Packers have a potential get-right opportunity in Week 7, facing the 1-5 Denver Broncos who have been historically bad on the defensive side of the ball.
