Social media was buzzing about the Florida International Panthers vs. Sam Houston Bearkats game because it looked like the bleachers were almost deserted.
The attendance for the Sam Houston/FIU game was absolutely pathetic, and the photo of the stands might be the funniest thing you see all week.

Before the game, a picture that went widespread showed hardly anyone in the stands. Elliott T. Bowers Stadium can accommodate about 14,000 spectators and for the game, very few people showed up as compared to the number.

Although the Panthers defeated the Bearkats in double overtime, attendance did not increase. There was hardly any attendance towards the end of the game, as seen by a video taken late in the game. There were still plenty of empty chairs, despite the brief in them.
