Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins receiver, recently incurred another fine from the NFL when the league released its Week 5 fine list. He was penalized $10,927 for unsportsmanlike conduct during a game against the New York Giants. Hill made a peace sign gesture as he scored a 69-yard touchdown in the third quarter of the Dolphins’ 31-16 victory.
The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was a result of his taunting celebration. After scoring the touchdown, Hill went into the stands to hand the football to his mother, Callie Lawson-Freeman, and Sean Leahy.

Hill is no stranger to receiving fines from the NFL, and he revealed earlier in the week that he had been fined over $100,000 throughout the season. This recent fine came for a uniform violation related to not wearing socks, although the exact amount was not disclosed, it was mentioned to be “significant” but less than $100,000 according to NFL Network.
Hill explained that his failure to wear socks was often due to time constraints before games, as he receives IVs to prevent cramping, and sometimes he doesn’t have enough time to put on socks. He expressed his willingness to comply with the league’s uniform guidelines to avoid further financial penalties.
