During the UFC 294 press conference, Dana White, the head of the UFC, was asked about the potential and promise of Indian MMA, with fighters like Anshul Jubli and Puja Tomar being mentioned. Strangely, the crowd responded with boos, making it difficult for Dana White to hear the question.
Eventually, he acknowledged the question and responded,
“What’s wrong with India? What’s everyone shitting on India for? We eventually want to bring the UFC to every corner of the world. Yes, we will come to India. We don’t have a set plan right now, but I want to make it happen.”
"What’s everybody sh****ng on India for?”

Subsequently, when asked if the UFC would consider hosting an event in India, the crowd once again reacted with boos. Interestingly, Khamzat Chimaev chimed in, mentioning that he had fought in India before.
Dana White, somewhat surprised by the crowd’s reaction, remarked, “Yeah, you know, I’ve been scouring the world for fighters, looking for talent from every corner of the globe, including India and Asia. We’re genuinely excited about India.”
