Whoever said baseball is boring has obviously never been involved in the pure high drama of series deciding games on the line.
The Astros and Rangers series is tied at 3-3 and the Phillies and Diamondbacks game delicately poised at 3-2 to the Philadelphia team.
Speaking over the weekend baseball legendary announcer Paul Anderson was in almost apoplexy describing the action breathlessly,
“This is going to go down as one of the all-time great days in postseason baseball history.
“Entering today, teams down by two or more runs in the eighth inning, 0-24. The Astros with a snatch-em-back in Arlington, Altuve’s home run, and the Diamondbacks with a snatch-em-back here against the Phillies in Game 4.
“What a day. Baseball is not boring, baseball is great!”
This is one of the most explosive semi-final playoff moments in MLB history as the teams slug it out for World Series glory.
Talk about slugging it out, who can forget the brawl in the eighth in Arlington when both the Astros and Rangers cleared their benches.
The Philie and Arizona game also saw a bizarre early sequence with the Philadelphia team scoring two early runs on an infield error.
For the record and to give everyone a chance to catch their breath, the Rangers hammered the Astros 9-2 to tie the series while the Phillies smashed the Diamondbacks to take a 3-2 series lead.
