“Yeah, I’m not talking about that,” Patriots HC Bill Belichick in Response to Being Asked About His Contract

Six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach of the New England Patriots Bill Belichick has solidified himself as arguably the greatest head coach in NFL history and continues to etch his name amongst the great.

This weekend, Belichick became just the third head coach in NFL history to win at 300 regular season games when the Patriots defeated their divisional rival Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots were 1-5 coming into this Week 7 game and Belichick’s future with the Patriots seemed to legitimately be in question after serving as the team’s head coach for the last 24 seasons.

However, those talks can be put to bed, because Belichick “quietly” signed a lucrative multi-year contract extension this offseason per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. However, the details of the contract have not been made clear and Belichick won’t be sharing that information.

“Yeah, I’m not talking about that,” Belichick said when asked about his contract during an appearance he made on WEEI, a sports gambling AM Boston radio station.

Interestingly, news of this contract extension comes to light as the Patriots come off their biggest and most impressive win of the season. The Patriots defeated the Bills 29-25 thanks to a game-winning touchdown in the final seconds of the game caught by tight end Mike Gesicki.

The Patriots recorded their highest scoring output of the season and quarterback Mac Jones looked in command of the huddle, completing 25 of his 30 pass attempts for 272 yards and two touchdowns.

Belichick, Jones and the Patriots will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Miami to face the Dolphins.
