While Greg Olsen is most notably known for his spectacular 14-year NFL career as a tight end, he has parlayed that into becoming an NFL broadcaster for FOX following his retirement. However, he recently was the center of some criticism for his outfit choice during a broadcast.
Olsen was assigned as the analyst for the game between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens alongside his play-by-play counterpart, Kevin Burkhardt. With this game getting out of hand a little sooner than expected, the topic of conversation drifted to Olsen’s jacket.
The jacket caught plenty of attention and became a trending discussion on social media. PFT Commenter of Barstool Sports wrote “Greg Olsen will sell you the worst car you’ve ever seen,” via X (formerly known as Twitter).
“So he took a risk – it didn’t work,” PFT Commenter’s colleague and fellow Barstool Sports media personality, Dan “Big Cat” Katz stated on X.
Of course, it was all in good faith as the two have had a working relationship with Olsen. He has been a recurring guest on their podcast series titled Pardon My Take.
Despite being the center of attention, there was a football game taking place while this all happened. The Ravens dismantled the Lions, winning 38-6 with quarterback Lamar Jackson having one of the best games of his career.
The Ravens advanced to 5-2 to remain in first place in the AFC North while the Lions fell to 5-2 yet still maintained their position atop the NFC North. Hopefully, Olsen has a different jacket in his closet for his next broadcasting opportunity.
