“Listen, I’d love to come back this season” Jets QB Aaron Rodgers eager to comeback this season, but is still unsure about specifics

Aaron Rodgers, the star quarterback for the New York Jets, is still in the recovery stage from the injury he suffered in the game earlier. He is still talking nonetheless about returning to the gridiron this year after suffering from an Achilles tear.

Rodgers attempted to put a temporary stop to the theory he stated last week. He talked about his intention to play once again this season at ManningCast on ESPN.

According to Pro Football Talk, Rodgers expressed, “Listen, I’d love to come back this season,”

“I think for me you always have to set a goal, otherwise you go kind of crazy. And so the goal is to definitely come back. But there’s a lot of factors that go into that. But I’ve got to get to the point where I can protect myself and do what I do.”

As per CNN, he further said, “To me, throwing on the field was just a way to feel normal. When you’re away from the team and you’re separated, being on the injured reserve list, anything you can do to make it feel like you’re kind of a part of it, whether that’s Zooming into a meeting, or a conversation before the game …”

“Getting back out there and messing around in the pre-game warm ups, to be able to walk out there without crutches and throw a ball around a little bit – that gave me a jolt,”

“I’m just having the mindset with my rehab every day to hopefully come back at some point.”

One of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers, also mentioned on Pat McAfee’s show that he needs to hit a few benchmarks before he can make his possible comeback.

His recovery is in a progressive stage and with time, more clarity can be provided. The New York Jets have the current standings for the season at 3-3 and they will face the New York Giants next.
