Michigan Wolverines Face Calls for Postseason Ban Due to Sign-Stealing Scandal

In light of the most recent developments, there have been growing calls for the Michigan Football Team to be removed from the postseason due to the sign-stealing incident.

The head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh, and his team were serving a ban for three games at the beginning of the season, which was due to possible NCAA violations.

However, Harbaugh is now facing issues in extremity and possibly a full-fledged scandal that involves a coordinated attempt to acquire the calling plays of opponent teams.

According to NCAA regulations, sign-stealing is not illegal, but in light of recent evidence, the team is being held accountable for doing so by using an extensive network.

Michigan’s sign-stealing violation is well underway in the NCAA investigation. According to The Athletic, an employee of the university, Connor Stalions, brought tickets to see at least five Big Ten schools play.

ESPN reports further that he had purchased tickets for more than 30 games at eleven different Big Ten universities under his own identity. The head coach, Harbaugh, has denied knowledge of such initiatives taking place.

The Michigan Wolverines are unbeaten and currently stand in the No. 2 spot. They are touted as the front-runners to clinch the Big Ten and have good chances to go to the College Football Playoffs and even greater chances of taking the title.

However, now the tide has turned and important sports media personalities are pointing out that the team should be disqualified from the current game.

As per Jon Wilner, “The Big Ten should ban Michigan from the postseason. Elaborate, premeditated, resource-heavy, multi-year effort to gain a competitive advantage. Pretty simple, really,”

Stewart Mandel of The Athletic appears to be in consensus, stating that the conference should forbid Michigan from competing further.

Mandel stated, “If there’s already this much reported evidence of a scheme to illegally gain an on-field advantage, the Big Ten should consider banning Michigan from its championship game,”

However, with further information and evidence, more clarity on the situation can be provided. The situation for the Michigan Wolverines is currently uncertain.
