In 2021, the Texas Rangers had a disappointing season, losing 102 games, which was their highest number of losses in nearly 50 years.

However, during the offseason, the team made a bold move by spending a record-breaking $561.2 million on free agents.

And now, after 12 long years, the Texas Rangers have earned themselves a spot in the World Series.

Their journey to the World Series began on Monday when they triumphed over the Houston Astros in a decisive ALCS Game 7, with a final score of 11-4.

This victory propelled the Rangers to the grand stage of the World Series. Now, they eagerly await the outcome of the NLCS matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Arizona Diamondbacks, as the winner of that series will be their opponent.

The Texas Rangers’ last appearance in the World Series was in 2011, where they unfortunately fell short against the St. Louis Cardinals in a thrilling seven-game series.

Since then, the team has experienced its fair share of ups and downs. However, the newly hired manager, Bruce Bochy, has brought a revitalizing energy to the franchise in his first season at the helm.

Bochy has a remarkable track record when it comes to winner-take-all games in the postseason. He boasts a perfect 6-0 record, having achieved great success with the San Francisco Giants during their magical even years in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

His ability to lead and inspire his players in high-pressure situations has undoubtedly played a significant role in the Rangers’ postseason success.

The much-anticipated World Series is set to commence on Friday, October 27, 2023.

It will be a moment of immense pride and excitement for the Texas Rangers and their loyal fanbase.
