A disgruntled Las Vegas Raiders fan took the opportunity to express his frustration with the team’s head coach, Josh McDaniels, during a recent celebratory parade for the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces on October 23.

As the Raiders have endured a string of embarrassing losses, most recently falling 30-12 to the Chicago Bears in Week 7, the frustration among fans has been mounting.

The fan, who goes by the name Vegas Ralph, seized the moment to confront Raiders owner Mark Davis directly.

Holding a bold sign that read “Just Fire Josh, We Deserve Better” he made it abundantly clear that he believed McDaniels’ tenure as head coach had been nothing short of an embarrassment.

Despite the impending frustrations and calls for McDaniels’ removal, Mark Davis engaged with the fan during the parade and assured him that he had heard his message.

McDaniels is currently in his second season as the Raiders’ head coach, and last season’s record of 6-11 did little to appease the fan base.

The discontentment with McDaniels extends beyond the win-loss column, as he has made a series of questionable decisions that have often backfired.

One such decision involved starting Brian Hoyer, a quarterback who hadn’t won a game as a starter in seven years, over-promising rookie Aidan O’Connell.

Apparently, Mark Davis appears to be affording McDaniels more time to turn things around, despite the coach’s questionable track record.

Josh McDaniels was appointed as the Raiders’ head coach on January 31, 2022, signing a lucrative four-year deal worth $10 million per season.

McDaniels brought with him 19 seasons of NFL coaching experience, including 13 seasons as the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.

He also had brief stints as the head coach of the Denver Broncos from 2009 to 2010 and the St. Louis Rams in 2011.

McDaniels’ overall record as an NFL head coach currently stands at 18-30.
