After heartbreaking loss to the Browns, Colts owner John Irsay believes everything should be reviewable in the last 2 minutes of a game. How will the NFL respond?

Colts owner Jim Irsay is not happy with the standard of umpiring after his team went down to the Browns, 39-38 in a slug fest.

There were two highly debatable calls made in the embers of the game that could have seriously impacted the result and Irsay has reiterated calls that everything should be reviewable in the last 2 minutes of a game.

“The NFL admits and understands that they did not make the correct calls at end of Sunday’s Colts/Browns Game,” said Indianapolis owner Irsay via X on Tuesday night.

“I believe we need to institute Instant Replay for all calls, including Penalties, in the last two minutes of All Games”.

Both pass interference calls were arguably justified, on both sides of the fence, especially the last one which would have needed receiver Dwight Clarke to be the alter ego of Clark Kent.

The NFL does not take kindly to criticism, or threats, or name dripping, or snitches for that matter so the owner is treading a needle thin line.

With the impact of gambling on the spread and results, there is a potential Civil litigation suit out there so maybe the bigwigs will have to consider alternatives to human errors in the last two minutes of a game.

Gambling sponsorships are pumping revenue into the league so a case of catching the horse before it bolts could be on the cards.

The Colts now sit at 3-4 with a week 8 clash against the Saints to come.

The 4-2 Browns next face the Seahawks.
