The Arizona Diamondbacks secured their victory over the Philadelphia Phillies with 4-2. The win also marks their first World Series appearance since 2001. The win can be attributed to many players but Corbin Caroll, their rookie, stood out in a significant manner and gave the team the boost it needed. 

According to ESPN Stats and Info, “Corbin Carroll is the 2nd-youngest player in MLB history with 3 hits and 2 steals in a playoff game. Only Ty Cobb was younger when he did it in the 1908 World Series at 21 years old.”

As per Sarah Langs, “at 23 years & 64 days old, Corbin Carroll became the 2nd-youngest player in postseason history with 3+ hits & 2+ SB in a game, older than only: 1908 WS G3 Ty Cobb: 21 y, 299 d he’s the 2nd player with 3+ hits & 2+ SB in a winner-take-all game, joining 2021 NLWCG Tommy Edman”

In Game 7, Carroll registered two runs scored, two RBI, and two steals. During the regular season, Carrol has established himself as one of the most talented performers. In this season, he has recorded 25 home runs, 76 RBI, 54 base steals, and an average of .285.
