According to ESPN Stats and Info, “With 4 assists tonight, Jack Hughes is the first player with at least 14 points in a team’s first 5 games of a season since Mario Lemieux had 17 in 1992-93.”

With the win, Hughes also made history in the NHL as he set a record that was earlier set by Mario Lemieux of the Pittsburgh Penguin thirty years ago. 

Hughes was selected by the New Jersey Devils with the first overall pick of the 2019 NHL Draft. Hughes has taken his game to another level and is among the top five favorites to grab the Stanley Cup, with him at the top. 

According to TSN, In the 2021-22 season, Jack Hughes, the incredible upcoming player, exceeded the point-per-game record and posted 56 points in a total of 49 games. He also recorded points, which were his career-high with 43 goals and 99 points in 78 games.

The New Jersey Devils defeated the Montreal Canadiens and the score was 5-2. Hughes helped the team by posting four assists. The talented player has played five games in the present season and has recorded four goals and fourteen points. He is recording 2.80 points per game, which is astonishing.
