FOX sports analyst Brady Quinn held nothing back when he said this week that Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was not as unfit as proclaimed.
“Everyone with a medical opinion has cleared Deshaun Watson,” said Quinn.
“The situation is almost similar to a kid getting a $230 million trust fund. You ask them to get a job and they have no incentive to do it.”
Quinn got into a X war with Watson’s private quarterback coach Quincy Avery sparking the following whiplash comment, “Brady, I’m a be real. You don’t know what the ** you are talking bout (sic), and sit behind a microphone gossiping like a little high school chick,” he said.
Watson, a former Texans player, has been under the gun after sexual misconduct allegations made by over 20 masseuses.
The QB has had a rough 2023, missing a host of games to a shoulder rotator cuff injury.
And on his first weekend back from injury he picked up an injury in the first quarter of their 39-38 win over the Colts.
Cleveland is last in quarterback rating (33.9%) and last in passer rating at 61%, so it stands to reason he will get called out.
The feud continued on social media.
“Come talk anytime you want in person,” wrote Quinn after the private coach’s comment.
“I just seen you Saturday,” responded Avery. “I don’t have anything I want to talk to you about. I’m telling you, you are talking about things you don’t know. Talking on another man who doesn’t know you is weak.”
Watson, signed at $230 million on a five-year deal will want to stay of the physio bench, for a few reasons and justify his big cash tag.
