“Stay Tuned” NFL not happy with Colts owner John Irsay after post-match comments in wake of Browns loss

The NFL does not appreciate public criticism and Colts owner Jim Irsay could face consequences for his latest utterances.

Irsay publicly dissed the umpires in the team’s one point loss to the Browns over the weekend saying tithe league agreed that their were two obvious errors.

Based on league response he could be backpedaling.

NFL employee Tom Pelissero took to social media after Irsay’s message: “The NFL communicates with teams on a weekly basis about various calls.

“Team officials are prohibited from commenting publicly on those discussions. Now, a team owner has publicly said the league admitted to officiating mistakes. Stay tuned …”

Irsay’s comments are simmering due to the league’s biggest bucks endorsements from gambling companies and Irsay hinted that last minute calls, in this case pass interference could create litigious havoc.

The NFL is all about image and sponsorship protection so the “stay tuned” conclusion to the reply sounds ominous, at least by NFL/owner standards.
