“With football, I don’t give a darn if you know a sweep is coming, you still got to stop it . . .” Coach Prime on Michigan sign stealing allegations

The outspoken and highly successful Colorado Boulder coach Deion Sanders believes the sign stealing affair coming out of Michigan is not all that it seems.

The two-time Superbowl winner and coach of the Buffaloes believes there is always a form of sign stealing going on, across the country.

“I don’t know how accurate that stuff is,” Sanders said via ESPN.com.

“I mean, everybody’s trying to get an edge. Everyone’s trying to get an edge wherever they can. You can have someone’s whole game plan. They could mail it to you. You’ve still got to stop it.”

The NCAA has banned advance scouting, and the University of Michigan is knee deep in the sewer, with a staffer and broadcaster buying tickets for 11 Top-Ten games across three years, none of them featuring Michigan.

In fact, all of the tickets were bought ahead of time for Michigan’s upcoming opponents.

They would then secretly video the sidelines gaining invaluable information on sign signalling.

Sanders also spent nine years in the MLB, appearing in a World Series and compared baseball to football in his analysis of the act.

“With football, I don’t give a darn if you know a sweep is coming, you still got to stop it . . . It’s a physical game.

“You got to stop it, so that’s a little tough. I don’t buy into a lot of this stuff that someone’s stealing this, stealing that. I don’t buy into a lot of that. You still got to play the game.”

Regardless of Sander’s argument Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is under severe fire as the NCAA has rules that the buck stops at the HC, and he will be accountable.
