The upcoming match of the Washington Commanders will be against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are 6-1 in the season and are currently at the top of the NFC East.
However, with the game approaching, some adjustments could be seen in the offensive line of the Commanders.
Sam Howell will be the starting quarterback of the Commanders, as this has been mentioned by head coach Ron Rivera.
However, with the impact that the quarterback has had in the previous games, the squad might change their strategies.
According to Pro Football Talk, Rivera talked about Howell and mentioned, “Well I will tell you this, I’m committed to him and we’ll see how things go,”
“But I can’t predict the future and the only thing I’m going to do is, I’m going to focus in on one game at a time. Because the truth of the matter is, that’s the only thing that matters right now, and that’s getting ready for Philadelphia. Once I get done with this conversation with all you guys, it’ll be on to Philadelphia.”
He further said, “As long as we have that young quarterback, he’s growing and developing, and we as a team play consistent complementary football, we have a chance,”
“We just have to be accountable for what’s happened right now. Step up, develop, grow, and recognize our mistakes and correct those things.”
After playing just seven games this season, the quarterback has already been sacked 40 times. However, there are other causes for these sacks but one solution could be to improve the line of their offensive play.
For the initial games, the Commanders have relied on their strategy; however, with the next game approaching, the head coach is of the opinion that they might adopt a different strategy.
According to Associated Press’ Stephen Whyno, Rivera said, “We’re looking at a lot of things right now and things that we want to do as far as going forward with the offensive line,”
“I don’t think I’m going to take anything off the table.”

Saahdiq Charles missed the practice session, which was on Wednesday, due to a calf injury. Nevertheless, the Commanders will be on the lookout for how they can tackle the Eagles by improving their offensive trajectory.
