Alexander Ovechkin, left winger of the Washington Capitals, is known to be one of the most fantastic goal scorers in the history of the National Hockey League.

The veteran six-foot-three-inch Russian phenomenon was awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2008, 2009, and 2013. He was also awarded the Best NHL Player ESPY Award winner for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020.

Ovi, as he is famously known, was also the recipient of the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy for three straight years 2018, 2019, and 2020. For three years, he also won the Ted Lindsay Award.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, “Alex Ovechkin played his 1,500th NHL game Wednesday (including playoffs). Here’s where he stands in the record book: – 2nd in goals (896) behind Wayne Gretzky (1,016) – T-2nd in game-winning goals (134) behind Jaromir Jagr (151) – 1st in power play goals (328).”

The Washington Capitals have defeated the New Jersey Devils and the concluding score was 4-6. Ovechkin converted an empty-net goal to give the Washington Capitals the victory over the New Jersey Devils.
