“I’m kind of disappointed because, Friday night he was at the Rangers game” – ESPN pundit Shannon Sharpe unimpressed by Travis Kelce’s appearance in World Series game before Chiefs loss

The Kansas City Chiefs are having a great run in the current NFL season, but their speed was swiftly stopped by the Denver Broncos in the last game. The Broncos are 3-5 for the season, while the Chiefs are 6-2 and the concluding score was 24-9.

The Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe in the podcast “The NightCap" with former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson was quick to point out how Travis Kelce was seen at Game 1 of the World Series in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.

The criticism came from Sharpe with an explanation as to how, before a major game and in the middle of the season, Kelce was seen watching another game.

Sharpe expressed, "We know the only receiver [Patrick Mahomes] can consistently count on is Travis Kelce, and he didn’t have his best day. And I’m kind of disappointed because, Friday night he was at the Rangers game,"

“It"s the middle of the season!" Sharpe yelled back at Johnson when he inquired about what the issue was with Kelce showing up at the Major League Baseball game.

In the game against the Denver Broncos, Kelce caught six passes for 58 yards. The defeat marks the first for the Chiefs in their previous seventeen encounters with the Broncos. The game was also the first in which the team could not score a touchdown in a game since 2021.

Sharpe also said, in response to Johnson, "It was in Texas. He lives in Kansas City,"

"It’s an awful look. It’s a terrible look."

Denver"s defense had one of its greatest performances of the current season and Patrick Mahomes was dealing with the sickness before the game. Nevertheless, Sharpe focused on Kelce"s performance during the podcast.
