The New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins and the concluding score was 31-17. Bourne sustained the injury on the opening play of the fourth quarter.
He caught a throw and was subsequently taken down by Eli Apple, a Patriots cornerback. However, after that, he stayed on the ground while clutching his knee.
The Patriots squad had hoped for MCL damage; however, unfortunately, due to early reports on Sunday, the MRI scan revealed the results, which would definitely be on the unfavourable side of the squad.
Bourne has played eight games this season and he has successfully caught 37 catches for 406 yards and four touchdowns. In targets, receiving yards, receptions, and receiving touchdowns, he leads the Patriots. He surpassed both second-ranked Rhamondre Stevenson and second-ranked Hunter Henry.
The wide receiver of the Patriots was having a fantastic comeback season after little action in the previous season. Bourne is considered one of the most upbeat and enthusiastic players on the Patriots squad. Unfortunately, the squad will have to steer without him for the rest of the season.
