According to Yahoo Sports, he said, “Ultimately, it ended up coming down to UConn and Duke – two historic programs known for their prestigious reputations and winning cultures. With that being said, I’ve decided to attend Duke University next year. After I had gone on campus, I really started to envision myself in Durham. All the love I felt made me really excited. Seeing all the Crazies and the atmosphere in Cameron, I’m honored that I have the opportunity to join the Brotherhood. Let’s go Duke.”
Flagg has been incredibly impressive with his skill set and the Blue Devils were eyeing him; he was also one of the players they wanted.
Montverde Academy’s upcoming talent will turn heads with his NBA Draft pick, as many expect him to clinch an impressive platform, keeping in mind his versatility as a player.
With Flagg’s inclusion, Duke now has the top-ranked class. Next season, Kon Knueppel, Isaiah Evans, and Darren Harris are also expected to join the Blue Devils. Given that all these three guys are skilled in shooting, they will fantastically surround Flagg.
An upcoming talent such as Flagg has the clear potential to rise to the top of the game, as he has the ability to defend and score. With his fresh talents, he becomes a very interesting recruit for the NBA.
Flagg also led the USA team and won the U17 gold medal in the FIBA World Cup. He was also named USA Basketball Male Athlete in 2022. He led in rebounds, steals, and blocks. In the Peach Jam tournament, the impressively lank player had an average of 25.4 points, 6.8 blocks, 5.7 assists, and 13 rebounds.
