Normally, when athletes can showcase their talents on a field/court, they steal the show. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for the Colorado Buffaloes, who had their belongings stolen while they were trying to put on a show against the UCLA Bruins.
Per TMZ Sports, several Buffaloes players returned to the locker room after the game to find out they had jewelry stolen from their lockers during the game against UCLA.
Buffaloes star safety Cam’ron Silmon-Craig was one of the players who had his jewelry stolen from the locker room and was audibly frustrated in a video posted by Deion Sanders Jr., son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.
“You’re gonna play football and know your s***’s safe. That joint messed up,” Silmon-Craig stated.
While the type/amount of stolen jewelry has yet to be confirmed, UCLA’s athletic department did confirm that a report to the Pasadena Police Department was filed after the game in a statement they made regarding the matter.
“UCLA is in communication with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials and the University of Colorado on the matter,” the statement read.
Understandably, the stolen goods have consumed a large portion of discussion rather than the outcome of the game. However, it was a highly competitive game between two PAC-12 teams that were desperately in need of a win, with the Bruins emerging victorious in the end.
The 23rd-ranked Bruins defeated the Buffaloes 28-16 at Rose Bowl Stadium to advance to 6-2 on the season and improve their record in conference play to 3-2.
