The Bears have finally granted cornerback Jaylon Johnson permission to seek a trade, and with tbe click ticking he will hope to put pen to paper with another franchise within the next 12 hours.
Johnson has been in decent form this season, despite the Chicago team’s struggles averaging a career best PFF grade (84.4) and a coverage grade of 85.8.
A month ago the CB admitted he would like to stay but after some great performances he requested a compensation that equates to his output.
The Bears will lose him in March at any rate so it would pay to let him go now, and there will be plenty of suitable offers.
Johnson was drafted by the Bears in 2020 as the 50th overall pick and has 125 total tackles in his career, to go with three interceptions and 31 pass deflections.
