Emotional support alligator who was denied entry to Phillies stadium admitted into Flyers game

BBC reported Joseph Henney, a baseball fan, arrived at Citizens Bank Park stadium to attend the Philadelphia Phillies MLB game with an emotional support alligator.

The fan however was denied entering the stadium, he claimed the five-foot alligator named Wally helped him cope and support with his depression.

The Phillies fan and his emotional support alligator were barred from Wednesday’s contest between the Phillies and Pirates and were not allowed to enter Citizens Bank Park.

As per the Citizens Bank Park’s policy on support animals, “Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training are welcome. All other animals are prohibited.”

Wally went viral on social and many videos have been circulated. Hennet claimed Wally has helps him battle depression and that the gator “likes to give hugs” and has never bitten anyone.

Now it has been reported, after being denied to the Phillies game, Wally has been allowed into the Wells Fargo Center for a Philadelphia Flyers game.

The Philadelphia Flyers mascot brought out Wally, the emotional support alligator, during the “Lion King Cam” at Wells Fargo Center.

As the Flyers hosted the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night, Flyers mascot Gritty was seen posing with posed with Wally.

Henney shared on Wally, who was also a finalist in the America’s Favorite Pet competition,

“He helps needy people, He puts smiles on people’s faces.”

An NHL photographer relayed a photo of the emotional support alligator entering Wells Fargo Center, “WallyGator” is attending Monday night’s Flyers home game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
