The Raiders offense had a rough night during their Monday game against the Lions, and it was clear that star wide receiver Davante Adams was feeling the frustration on the sideline as the game came to a close.
Towards the end of the fourth quarter, television cameras captured Adams looking visibly furious. The 30-year-old threw his helmet and slammed it onto the ground next to the bench. He then took a seat, burying his head in his hands and gazing at the ground.

Las Vegas ended up with a 3-5 record after the Monday night loss, and Adams, who has been open about his dissatisfaction with his role on the team throughout the season, was clearly disappointed with the performance. In the game, Adams only managed one catch for 11 yards, despite being targeted seven times by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Notably, no Raiders player had more than two catches, and no one exceeded 27 receiving yards.
So far this season, Adams has accumulated 47 receptions, 539 yards, and three touchdowns. This marks the second game in the last three weeks in which he’s caught two or fewer passes. In contrast to his eight games with over 100 receiving yards last season, Adams has only achieved that feat once in 2023.
Following the game, Adams expressed his frustration with the team’s offensive struggles, stating, “I don’t know what to say at this moment. I truly don’t.” The Raiders are scheduled to face the Giants in Week 9.
