Apparently, the offense was asleep during, and even when the runners got on base, a double-play or a quick out happened to stall any momentum.
In the second inning, Christian Walker was thrown out at the home plate with no out, since then the offense has been silent as they trail 3-0, after six innings.
From two to four innings, the Diamondbacks had just two batters reach base, Corbin Carroll walked with two outs in the third and was stranded on second after a wild pitch.
In the sixth, Ketel Marte was seen singling a hard-hit ball that Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien reached with his glove but could not bring in.
In the eighth inning of Game 3, the Diamondbacks finally started to show some offense as they got on the board and trimmed the lead to 3-1.
Gabriel Moreno was called back into the batter’s box on what appeared to be a clear ball in a 3-1 count when the Diamondbacks entered the ninth inning.
Diamondbacks assistant hitting coach Rick Short said on Moreno,
"In my opinion, he [Moreno] is an annual All-Star in the making. He"s got incredibly quick hands, he has got makeup speed on laid-off pitches."
The Rangers have pulled its ninth consecutive road victory in these playoffs after defeating the Diamondbacks in Game 3 of the World Series, 3-1.
