All the big winners from the October Halloween NFL Trade Deadline – which franchise did the best bit of business as week 9 looms??

The October trade deadline has often been a snooze fest, but last year and this season has seen a significant increase in movement.

Last season here were 18 trades in the week building up to the Halloween deadline and this season saw 10.

While only time will tell, we look at some of the winners to have come out of October’s trade dealings.

The 49ers will be smiling after trading a third-round pick to get defensive end Chase Young, who will line up opposite Nick Bosa.

The San Francisco team have struggled defensively in the past few weeks relinquishing the NFC West lead to the Seahawks.

The 49ers were mauled by the Bengals 31-17 and the big loss saw a need to get a DE to help Bosa and company.

The Eagles are flying this season and are 7-1 are the league’s best team, but they still traded two third day picks and safety Terrell Edmunds for Titans safety Kevin Byard.

The safety made his debut for the Eagles in week 8 and put in 7 tackles and helped the team to a 38-31 win against the Commanders.

Another big winner is Mecole Hardman, who was traded back to the Kansas City Chiefs from the Jets, where he got limited game time.

Hardman played against the Broncos over the weekend and the WR could have a deep run with the Chiefs this season.

The Broncos surprised the Chiefs with a 24-9 win.

Regardless it is still a won for Hardman.

The Vikings were facing a crisis at quarterback after the season ending Achilles tendon injury to Kirk Cousins and swooped and landed Josh Dobbs from Arizona.

He is expected to be backup to Jalen Hall this weekend against the Falcons as they chase a playoff place.

The playoff chasing Seahawks traded for DE Leonard Williams from the Giants.

Both teams will claim a win, with the Giants set to save big bucks and the Seahawks adding defensive cover.

Despite analysts having a field day at the Bears for trading for Commanders defensive lineman Montez Sweat.

Sweat has 6.5 sacks this season, half of all the Bears total sacks this campaign.

In another win for the Bears, they managed to hold onto cornerback Jaylon Johnson.

The Bills got CB Rasul Douglas from the Packers in what could turn out be a vital acquisition.

After an Achilles injury suffered by CB Tre’Davious White, the Bills needed to shore up their defense.
