During an appearance on the “Pablo Torre Finds Out” podcast, Larsa Pippen opened up about her relationship with NBA legend Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan.
The affair between Larsa and Marcus has been the subject of much media attention, given the controversial history of the Pippen and Jordan family.
Larsa, the former wife of NBA icon Scottie Pippen, who was Michael Jordan’s top wingman during their time as teammates on the Chicago Bulls shared:
“If you meet someone and you have a great connection with them, and they make you happy and you fall in love with them, then that’s what it is. It’s not like we’re hurting anyone.”
Apparently, the dynamic between Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan has undergone significant deterioration over the years.
The release of the Netflix documentary “The Last Dance” in 2020 was a turning point, as Pippen felt it portrayed him negatively and placed too much emphasis on Jordan.
Marcus and Larsa started dating in September 2022, shortly after Larsa and Scottie’s divorce in January of the same year.
Marcus and Larsa decided to make their relationship official in January 2023, and they have even begun planning their wedding.
On the “Pablo Torre Finds Out” podcast, Marcus aslo expressed his desire for his father to serve as his best man.
Next, when asked about his father’s stance on his relationship with Larsa, Marcus clarified that Michael Jordan has been supportive.
He shared his father’s perspective, saying:
“The main thing from my dad was, ‘You’re a grown adult,’ and as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. He’s never intervened in my dating life prior to Larsa, and he’s not going to start now.”
However, in July 2023, Michael Jordan was caught on camera expressing his disapproval of his son’s relationship with Larsa Pippen. When questioned by a paparazzo about his thoughts on the relationship, Jordan responded with a simple, “No.”
Later, Larsa Pippen addressed this situation on the couple’s podcast, “Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan,” noting that the comment “embarrassed” her.
Nevertheless, Marcus defended his father’s comment, suggesting it was likely a joke, stating:
“I know my dad. My whole family, we’re all competitive, the Jordans. Part of our DNA is to talk s**t. It gets us going, it gets us motivated.”
During the recent interview, Marcus Jordan highlighted that he and Larsa haven’t set a date or location for their wedding but confirmed it’s in the works.
