In a nail-biting finish, Klay Thompson sank a challenging jump shot with a mere two-tenths of a second left on the game clock, sealing an exhilarating 102-101 triumph for the Golden State Warriors against the Sacramento Kings.

This victory represented the Warriors’ second win against the Kings in the young season and once again showcased a closely contested matchup. Just moments before, Domantas Sabonis had handed the Kings a 101-100 advantage with a remarkable 20-foot banked-in shot, setting the stage for a sensational Klay Thompson buzzer-beater. As the third quarter came to a close, Thompson’s clutch shot extended the Warriors’ lead to 102-92 against the Sacramento Kings.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors’ scoring charge with 21 points, making 4 out of 10 attempts from beyond the arc. Dario Saric chipped in with 15 points, while Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins each contributed 14 points. Draymond Green showcased his all-around skills with 13 points and a game-high nine assists, and Jonathan Kuminga added 12 points to the mix.

On the Kings’ side, Domantas Sabonis stood out as the top performer, notching an impressive double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Malik Monk followed with 16 points, and Harrison Barnes added 14 to their tally. Davion Mitchell contributed 13 points, while Kevin Huerter and Keegan Murray rounded out the effort with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

It’s worth noting that the Kings were missing De’Aaron Fox due to an ankle injury, but they put up a spirited fight. Their relentless pursuit of offensive rebounds, with 14 in total, played a crucial role in keeping them competitive throughout the game.
