“That’s on me” Coach Prime Takes Full Responsibility for the Buffaloes’ Underperformance, Vows to Coach Better

The Colorado Buffaloes had a promising start to their season, winning their first three games. However, their performance has taken a turn for the worse, as they have now lost five out of their last six games.

The blame has fallen on head coach Sanders, whose coaching decisions have come under scrutiny.

In an attempt to turn things around, Sanders made changes to his coaching staff and even changed the offensive play caller.

However, these adjustments did not yield the desired results, as the team suffered another defeat, this time against Oregon State with a score of 26-19.

One recurring issue that has plagued the Buffaloes is poor clock management. This was once again evident in the recent game, with Sanders acknowledging that he needs to improve his coaching abilities.

“This is hard,” Sanders said, via USA Today. “The reason it’s so hard is because you know you’re capable of doing better − playing better, performing better, calling better games, coaching better on my behalf. And you are coming up short when you have enough to get the job done. And it’s painful. It hurts myself, the team and all the coaches and fans.”

The team made a crucial mistake towards the end of the first half when they had the opportunity to run out the clock and go into halftime with a manageable deficit of 7-3.

Instead, Sanders’ son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, threw two incomplete passes, stopping the clock and giving Oregon State a chance to score a touchdown.

This turned the tide of the game, and the Buffaloes went into halftime trailing 14-3.

“That’s on me,” Deion Sanders said.

At this point, Colorado’s chances of becoming bowl-eligible are slim. They would need to win at least two of their remaining three games against Arizona, Washington State, and Utah.

While this seemed like a tall order, Coach Sanders remains determined to finish the season on a high note and improve his coaching abilities.
