In all goodness, McCollum seems to be in good spirits after the diagnosis as he reposted on X, a post of him with his hand on his heart, it had the caption,
“This is an insane pic to post with the news”
Apparently, it is the second time in two years McCollum has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung. The 32-year-old also sustained a collapsed lung in December of 2021 and was forced to miss a month and a half.
This season with the Pelicans he averaged 21.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game–all while shooting 44.0 percent from the field and 38.0 percent from deep.
