How to win friends and influence people is a mantra unheard of in Boston, especially when it comes to bad mouthing follow members of the fourth estate.
Boston radio hosts Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb, got stuck into the Kansas City Chiefs media pack after their 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins in Germany.
Talking on the 98.5 The Sports Hub Toucher and Rich the pair laid into Kansas City hackers, and while it may be general grumpiness as the game starting at 9.30 am, it is a startling claim.
“Chiefs play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus sucks. Everyone in Kansas City," said Toucher. "Chiefs fans are awesome…I suggest you go to Kansas City for a game. The fans are incredible…[Holthus] sucks and like everyone in media there sucks…The whole performance when the Royals one, that was a disaster."
There is some history between Toucher and Rich and the Kansas City radio show Fescoe in the Morning, going back to 2019, but the attack was pretty vicious.
As if to emphasize his point the co-host continued.
“Chiefs fans are awesome…but the announcer (Mitch Holthus) sucks and like everyone in media there sucks," said Shertenlieb.
They seem to be forgetting the spectacle and nature of the game with two of the best programs this season going head-to-head.
The Chiefs improve to 7-2 while the Dolphins move to 6-3.
But more importantly to some shock jocks it is 1-0 to Boston this week.
