The dreaded commentators curse has struck again with the New York Jets the latest NFL team to suffer the consequences.
Even though the Jets started the game as the bookmaker underdogs by 3 points all four analysts on Monday Night Football picked them to hammer the Chargers.
Instead the result was reversed and the Chargers ran out 27-6 winners.
The Jets will do well to ignore the forecasts of Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, and Robert Griffin III, who all had the Jets scoring 20 points or more and winning a tight affair.
The analysts did have valid points as the Jets are the only team in the Superbowl era to collect five sacks, hold their opponents to under 200 yards, and not allow 25 plus yards per game, and still lose by 20 plus points.
Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has a tough outing throwing 33 from 49 and going for 263 yards.
The Jets dominated in every facet bar the score and will feel they should have run out winners. Curse those commentators.
